Terminal X, New York, Full-time, in person

Terminal X is hiring a growth generalist. You'd own everything the market sees from us, which means the posts, the announcements, the launches and how all of it looks. What you do beyond that depends on what you're best at.

The person we want is pretty specific. You want to work at a startup and you want more on your plate than is reasonable. You're extremely proactive. You may not know much about marketing yet, and that's fine, because you'll study the companies that do it best, work out why it lands, and make it work for us.

About Terminal X

We're building the all in one AI layer for investment firms. Terminal X brings a firm's data, workflows and memory into one place and turns them into finished memos, models and decks in the firm's own format. Banks, asset managers and sovereign funds across the US and Asia already run their research on it.

What you'll do

Most of your week goes to marketing, and it's hands on. You'll run the company's LinkedIn and X, write the posts and ship them or plan the rest of the team's posts. You'll own announcements end to end, whether it's a new product, the monthly feature roundup or a partnership. You'll also write the newsletter and the blog posts that bring people to our site.

Design comes with all of it. Every post, launch and one-pager may need visuals, and you'll make them. That takes taste more than anything else. You know what something should look like before you start, you pull the right references, and you keep pushing until it matches what you had in your head. If it looks generic, it doesn't go out.

On the product side, you'll help build evals, design and test finance workflows, and bring what you hear from users back to the team.

And you'll pick up whatever else needs an owner. That might be decks and case studies for our sales team, keeping up to date on trends, hosting a dinner for PMs, or keeping the website current.

How the role takes shape

Marketing is the base for whoever sits in this seat. The rest depends on you. If you come from finance, you'll probably spend more time on product and finance content. If you're more of a creative, more of your time goes to design and campaigns.

After your first month, we’ll shape the role around where you're having the most impact.

Who we're looking for

  • You want to be at a startup, owning a lot and figuring it out as you go
  • You don't wait to be told. You see what's missing and handle it
  • You learn fast, and you go straight to whoever does it best
  • You have taste in writing and visuals, and you won't ship something mediocre
  • You write clearly and quickly, in a voice people actually want to read
  • You know finance well enough that analysts and PMs take you seriously
  • You use AI tools every day, but nothing shows in your output

Things that stand out (not required)

  • Time in banking, equity research, the buy side or financial journalism
  • Something you built yourself, like a startup or an account with a real audience
  • A portfolio of design, writing or video
  • Anything else unique that we’ve never seen before

We care more about what you've done than where you did it. Zero to four years of experience, and new grads are welcome.

Why Terminal X

You'll own real work from your first week and work with the founders every day. You'll get your hands on marketing, design, product and sales at the same time. Top institutions already run on the product, and the category is still being defined.

The team includes engineers, investors and operators from Google DeepMind, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Blackstone and Tiger Global, along with former founders and international competition medalists.

Compensation and logistics

$90K to $150K base depending on experience, plus equity. Full-time and in person at our office in Manhattan.

How to apply

No cover letter needed. Send your resume to [email protected] with the subject line "Generalist_YOUR NAME", along with anything you want to share. A short note is fine.

We get a lot of applications, so you need to stand out. If you've made or done something that would catch our attention, show us. If your note reads like AI wrote it, we'll ignore it.

If it looks like a fit, we'll set up a short call.
