Landing Page & Shortcuts

Terminal X Landing Page

When you log in, the home page puts everything in one place: the workflow library at the center, and the terminal below it where you ask your Agent questions, choose your sources, and pull in your Private Dataroom files.

Shortcuts '/' help you move faster with simple keyboard commands directly in the terminal. Typing a command such as /deep, /lite, /report, /pdr, or /bank switches Agents or jumps straight to the tool you need, without breaking your flow.

AI Agents

Terminal X Agents are built around how finance work actually gets done. They replicate the workflows your team already runs, draw on finance sources that general-purpose AI tools cannot access, and plug into the subscription data your firm already pays for.

With Capital Memory, the Agents also get smarter the more you use them. Every interaction and every workflow you run builds context that carries into your next task.

Whether you're running deep diligence or a quick lookup, Terminal X AI Agents become your always-on thought partner.

Auto

Terminal X defaults to /Auto, so you don’t need to decide which Agent to use before you ask. Auto reads the intent of your question and routes it to the right mode on its own:

Questions that call for in-depth analysis → Deep Research

Questions that need a fast, direct read → Lite Agent

Requests to draft documents or reports → Custom Report

To choose a mode yourself, click the Agent : /Auto dropdown next to the input bar, or type /deep, /lite, or /report directly in the terminal.

Sources work the same way. With Auto Sources on, the Agent automatically selects the best sources for your query, or you can pin specific channels right above the input bar: Broker Research, Bloomberg, Public Filings, Call Transcripts, Real-time Web, or your Private Dataroom.

Deep Research

Deep Research uses our most advanced reasoning model and premium data sources to deliver significantly more detailed, in-depth answers. Enter your question into the landing page terminal to instantly run analysis across U.S. and APAC equities, global markets, individual stocks, industries, and research topics.

You can also attach files as sources directly in the terminal via Add Sources. The Agent will analyze the uploaded materials and deliver customized, file-based research tailored to your documents.

Deep Research Result

1. Agent Answer

In the terminal interface on the left, you can conduct research and ask the Agent any follow-up questions. In Deep Research mode, the Agent goes beyond simply providing answers: you can view the Agent's entire reasoning steps and every source it referenced to generate the answer. Through this transparent research workflow, you can directly see how the AI thinks and analyzes problems, much like a real analyst.

As answers are generated, a 'Source Table' appears on the right side. Unlike a standard sources list, each source produces its own document-level analysis that acts as a ground-truth reference, giving you extracted insights to audit alongside the answer and a level of traceability general LLMs can't offer.

2. Source Document Viewer

When you click a row (reference source) in the table, the Source Viewer retrieves and displays the corresponding primary document, opening the original file itself.

3. Terminal X Re-ranking Algo

Clicking the 'Sort by AI Relevancy' button sorts the source documents and answers in the Source Table based on Terminal X's relevance algorithm. To view the most recent sources instead, click 'Sort by Recent'. The full table can be exported with Export to .csv.

Sources directly used in generating the response are highlighted with a blue vertical bar next to their ID in the table.

In Terminal X, every qualitative and quantitative output produced by the Agent can be fully audited. Because this indexing accuracy is code-based and independent of the LLM, there are no hallucination or reliability issues commonly found in general AI models.

Lite Agent

If you prefer faster responses from the Agent, type /lite in the terminal or select Lite Agent from the Agent dropdown.

This mode is optimized for speed and concise answers, giving you a quick pulse check on the market. It focuses on the most relevant points, delivering straightforward and actionable insights. Unlike Deep Research mode, Lite Agent does not provide source-level answers or table outputs; the references it consulted are listed alongside the answer.

Generate Reports

Custom Report Agent creates lengthy documents directly in the terminal. The Agent utilizes Terminal X's premium data sources and the Private Data Room to produce polished, export-ready documents that match your firm's existing format and tone. Deliverables include market letters, IC memos, due diligence questionnaires, and similar materials.

Type /report in the terminal and get a fully formatted report, exportable in Word, PowerPoint, or Excel. To have reports generated in your firm's exact template, voice, and style, request a custom workflow and our team will set it up for you.

Turn Research into Report

You can also generate reports mid-conversation in Deep Research or Lite Agent mode, so your research and reporting flow naturally together. Simply toggle to /report and ask for your thread to be turned into a polished Word document.

Report Agent Result

1. Auditable Reasoning — Just like Deep Research, you can review the Custom Report Agent's step-by-step reasoning and see exactly which tools and sources it used to construct your report, giving full transparency into how your output was generated.

2. Smart Clarification — If your prompt needs more detail, the Agent will ask a quick follow-up before generating, so you're never waiting on a report that misses the mark.

3. Presentation-ready Export — Presentation-ready from the start, the report generates as a Word, PowerPoint, or Excel document you can download, edit, and finalize.

Custom Workflows

Workflows sit at the center of the landing page. As soon as you log in, you'll see the workflow library: ready-made Custom Report and Deep Research templates designed around real-world tasks, organized by strategy and asset class, including Global Macro, Public Equities, ETF, Private Wealth, Real Estate, Private Equity, Corporate/IR, and more. The lineup you see reflects your firm's setup, so your team's own templates appear alongside the standard library.

Workflows automate your reporting end to end, from recurring daily and weekly reports that run on the same template every time to resource-intensive one-off documents like IC memos and DDQs.

Workflow threads accumulate context over time. When you ask a follow-up request such as, "Update this for this week while keeping the same structure and output format," the Agent maintains the previously defined structure and format, and updates only the numbers and content using the latest data. For recurring tasks like weekly reports, we recommend creating and continuously using a single workflow thread. This allows you to preserve prior context and prompts while seamlessly continuing your work.

After selecting your desired workflow template, enter follow-up questions in the terminal to continue the conversation. All workflow-generated threads are private spaces visible only to you, and cannot be accessed by other users.

Need a workflow that isn't in the library? Select Create your own workflow. Customized workflows are built around your firm's process by our team, so reach out and we'll set it up for you. Your toughest reports are automated at the click of a button, written in your firm's voice and style.

Market Live

The Watchlist tab is a dedicated, real-time insight feed for your portfolio, laid out in three panels.

My Portfolio on the left holds your tickers, organized into groups. A default watchlist is provided when your account is created, and you can freely customize your monitoring setup using +Add Ticker, +Add Group, and Edit. Various asset types can be added, and additional data or asset classes can be supported upon request.

Market Live in the center monitors price movements, news, and events for your selected tickers, and provides premium data–driven analysis that instantly explains why a stock is moving. During market hours as well as pre- and after-market sessions, any meaningful price changes, news, or events automatically appear in the feed, along with clear explanations of the underlying drivers behind each stock, sector, or index movement.

Breaking on the right keeps major market developments in view at a glance, with key events highlighted on the timeline. This feed includes major 8-K filings, notifying you of official company disclosures before they hit the press.

The Watchlist page also has its own terminal, so you can ask your Agent about anything in the feed without leaving the screen.

Terminal X Data Universe

Terminal X's Agent is powered by premium data delivered through partnerships with trusted global data vendors and investment banks such as FactSet, CapIQ, and Bloomberg. While the Agent already has access to robust premium real-time market data, the highest value is unlocked when it has your firm's internal data synced through the Private Data Room (PDR), acting as your firm's real intelligence layer.

For Enterprise users, Terminal X provides white-glove support to help integrate your internal drives, emails, and documents into the PDR. The team works closely with you throughout the process, setting up structured data connections and department-based access controls.

Private Data Room

1. Ask the Agent on Your Internal Data

Your indexed internal data is available right where you ask questions. On the Home screen, the My Datarooms panel beside the terminal lets you browse your Data Room and select the specific files or folders you want the Agent to use. Check them, include Private Dataroom among your sources, and ask. The selected materials feed directly into Deep Research and Custom Report as ground-truth references, cited and verifiable in the Source Table like any other source.

2. Managing Your Data Room

The Private Dataroom tab is your management console. It lists every indexed document across your Data Rooms with its type, source, publish date, and sync status, so you can confirm at a glance that your materials are up to date. Use Upload Files to add documents, or look up any document by ID, name, type, or source.

3. Individual File Upload

You can upload your own files for indexing. Supported file types include: .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, .pdf, .pptx, .ppt, .docx, .doc, .csv.

Uploaded personal files are
1) securely synced as private documents, 2) accessible only from your individual account, and 3) optionally shareable across your team or department if you request Access Level adjustments for collaborative use.

Files and data uploaded directly by users are not stored permanently and are never used to train LLM models. All user data and documents are encrypted and securely protected.

Entitlements

The Agent retrieves all of your existing subscribed data in real time and incorporates it into your research results. Instead of logging into multiple portals or switching between tabs to manually search for the information you need, use Terminal X as a centralized data hub for your firm.

To connect additional public sources or private/company-level subscriptions, open Entitlements in your Profile page and register each provider with its access URL and login credentials through Terminal X's secure, encrypted environment.

Agent Personalization

1. Performance Dashboard

Your Performance Dashboard in the Profile page provides a real-time snapshot of how you and your team are using the AI Agent. It tracks key activity metrics such as queries asked, Private Dataroom documents synced, firm knowledge indexed, team workflows, and hours saved, helping you quickly understand what's driving impact and how effectively Terminal X is being adopted across your firm.

2. Personalization

You can also personalize the Agent's output by sharing information about yourself in your profile settings. Helpful content includes your role and coverage, your experience level, your investment focus, and the output formats you prefer.

The more context you provide, the more tailored your results. Both your Personalization and Profile completeness are visible in the Context panel on the right side of the Home screen, so you can update them anytime.
