Overview
Terminal X is hiring an Account Executive to drive revenue for our AI-powered research platform used by the world’s most sophisticated financial institutions. You will be one of the first sales hires, working directly alongside the head of sales to take a product with real traction and turn it into a scalable, repeatable enterprise sales motion. We're looking for someone who can own the full sales cycle and become a trusted advisor to institutional clients.

What You'll Do
1. Sales Execution
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close for hedge funds, asset managers, banks, PE firms, and family offices
- Build and manage a robust personal pipeline against quarterly targets
- Run high-volume outbound — cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, events — to generate top-of-funnel pipeline
- Negotiate and close multi-year enterprise contracts with complex, multi-stakeholder decision-making
- Act as a responsive, on-demand resource for clients, troubleshooting issues and ensuring they get value from day one
2. Product Expertise & Demos
- Become a subject matter expert on Terminal X — research agents, data integrations, report generation, and multi-lingual capabilities
- Run compelling, consultative demos tied to real workflows: equity research, portfolio monitoring, due diligence, and more
- Partner with Product to relay client feedback and shape the roadmap
3. Client Success & Account Growth
- Own the client relationship post-close — you're the primary point of contact
- Identify and convert expansion opportunities — new teams, use cases, seats, and data integrations
- Coordinate with Engineering on custom integrations, bridging client needs and technical execution
4. Market Intelligence
- Build executive-level relationships with decision-makers at target accounts
- Stay plugged into the institutional finance and AI landscape to spot opportunities and threats
- Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering from prospect and client conversations
Who You Are
Required
- 3–5+ years of enterprise sales experience, with a track record of beating quota
- Proven success selling SaaS, data, or technology products to financial institutions
- Experience working on a growing sales function—you’ve gone from near-zero to a repeatable sales process before
- Strong understanding of finance workflows and decision-making: how investment teams research, make decisions, and adopt new tools
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity
- Exceptional communication, verbally and written
Strong Differentiators
- Experience selling AI products or research/analytics platforms to institutions
- Strong personal network within finance/experience in finance
- Quick learner and ability to demo a technical AI product after initial training sessions with Product Team

Compensation & Logistics
Comp varies based on experience. Range of $100–150K Base / ~$300k On-Target. Competitive commission + additional compensation for exceeding quota + equity / stock options. This is a full-time, on-site position at our New York office.
